The Law on the Energy Regulation stipulates the construction of new renewable generating capacities is subject to Authorization Procedures from the ERO. No generation activity can be performed without obtaining a valid license from the ERO including final authorization for construction of new generation capacities from renewable energy sources. Generation activities below 5 MW are exempt from this requirement.
